MakeAble Accessibility
MakeAble is built around a simple belief: the tool should adapt to the person, not the other way around.
Our commitment
MakeAble is designed to support different ways of learning, interacting, and communicating. You should never have to fight the app to solve a problem — and you never have to explain why something is easier for you.
Accessibility preferences are optional, saved in your profile, and change how MakeAble actually behaves.
What MakeAble supports today
- Voice input — speak instead of typing anywhere you would write a description or a change.
- Read aloud — have any explanation read to you with your device's speech.
- Adjustable text size — from normal to extra large, plus a custom scale.
- Strong contrast — a high-contrast mode for easier reading.
- Keyboard navigation — every control can be reached and used with a keyboard, with always-visible focus indicators.
- Screen-reader support — controls and images are labeled for assistive technology.
- Reduced motion — animations can be turned off entirely.
- Large touch targets — buttons and fields can be made bigger for easier tapping.
- Clear language — plain words, short sentences, and honest explanations instead of technical jargon.
- Contextual mini-guides — short, optional walkthroughs appear where you need them, and never block what you're doing.
You can set these in your profile\'s accessibility preferences, any time.
Designed for different ways of thinking
- Prefer one step at a time? MakeAble asks for one size detail at a time.
- Prefer fewer choices? You can ask for a simpler view.
- Prefer simple explanations? Technical detail is translated into plain language — for example, "strength" instead of percentages.
MakeAble describes features and preferences — never people. You will not be labeled or categorized here.
