MakeAble Privacy Policy

• Your projects and designs are private by default. Nothing you create is shared publicly unless you choose to publish it.
• Makers only ever see your state and country on public work orders. Your full address is shared with a Maker only for an order you placed, once it reaches fulfillment.
• MakeAble does not sell your information.
• You can delete your projects and designs in the app at any time, and request account deletion at any time.

• Your name and email address, so you can have an account and we can reach you about your orders.
• Your display name and username, if you choose to add them.
• Profile information you choose to add: whether you are a Maker, a Seeker, or both, your 3D-printing experience, printer details, materials and colors you stock, and your preferences.
• Sign-in details. Passwords and sign-in are handled securely by MakeAble's hosting platform — MakeAble does not store your password.

• The problems and ideas you describe, and the projects and designs MakeAble helps you create.
• Your size and fit answers (measurements, device models, and similar details) — these shape the actual design.
• Photos you choose to upload, notes, and changes you ask for.
• Your requests to have something made, including the shipping information a Maker needs to fulfill your order.
• Community designs, reviews, and comments — only if you choose to publish or write them.

You may voluntarily upload a photo to help MakeAble understand an object, problem, or design request. Photos you upload are stored privately and used to help with your request — for example, so the AI assistant can reason about the object you describe.

Photos are not used to take measurements. MakeAble cannot determine precise sizes from an ordinary photograph, which is why MakeAble asks you for the measurements that matter instead of guessing.

If it is available on your device, you can use voice input instead of typing. Your device's built-in speech recognition turns your speech into text and places it in the field, where you can review and edit it before submitting.

The audio itself is not stored by MakeAble. Only the text you choose to submit becomes part of your request.

MakeAble does not track your location, use GPS, or collect precise location data. The only location information MakeAble has is what you choose to type:

• An optional location on your profile (for example, your city or state).
• The state and country you provide when you ask to have something made.

This helps MakeAble connect requests with Makers who can ship to you efficiently — a Maker near you may ship faster and more affordably. On public work orders, Makers see only your state and country. Your full address is never public.

• Order records: what was made, its size and fit details, quantities, colors, status, and dates.
• Shipping information: the name and address a Maker needs to fulfill an order you placed. It is shared with your Maker only once the order reaches fulfillment.
• Transaction information: payment status and amounts for your orders.
• The Maker information needed to fulfill your order (for example, who is making it and how to reach them through MakeAble).

Payments are processed by Base44 Payments. MakeAble does not store your card number or bank account details.

MakeAble's hosting platform records basic technical and usage information — such as which features are used, and whether the app is performing correctly — so we can keep MakeAble working, keep it secure, and improve it.

MakeAble includes an AI assistant that helps you describe a problem, asks for the information that matters (like sizes and materials), suggests possible solutions with pictures, and refines a design based on your feedback.

• To do this, the relevant parts of your request — your problem description, your photo if you added one, and your size answers — are processed by the AI assistant.
• Your projects and designs remain private by default. AI-generated designs are only visible to others if you publish them.
• AI suggestions are not always correct. MakeAble aims to be honest about limitations, and you should always review a design before making or using it — especially for anything where failure could cause injury.

• To match Seekers with Makers who can make and ship what is needed.

• To meet legal obligations that apply to orders and payments.

• You. Your projects and designs are yours and stay private by default.
• Makers, for orders you place: they see the job details and, at fulfillment, your shipping information — nothing more than the order needs.
• Other users, only content you choose to publish: community designs, public reviews, and your public Maker profile if you create one.
• Service providers that help MakeAble run: the hosting platform and the payment processor.

MakeAble does not sell your personal information. It is shared only as described on this page, with the people and services needed to run MakeAble and fulfill your orders.
